Newsflash
cosmetics definition labeling regulation

The DGCCRF and the ANSM published today an information note on the definition and regulation of nanomaterials in cosmetics. This document is also intended to “contribute to greater transparency on a particularly complex issue”, and to “contribute to the ongoing debates at European level”.

As a reminder, the controls conducted by the French authorities have highlighted the presence of unauthorized nanomaterials in some cosmetic products as well as the absence on the label of the mention [nano] in the list of ingredients in front of some substances present in nanoparticulate form.
