13 NGOs question ECHA on the monitoring of anti-covid-19 nano products

In an open letter published online, thirteen NGOs – including AVICENN – have requested clarification from the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) on the regulatory framework and risk management measures in place at the European level on the monitoring of anti-covid-19 nano products.

What mechanisms ensure that only authorized active substances are used on the European market? What measures are taken regarding masks treated with nanoparticles sold in Europe? Are there any plans to intensify controls and accelerate the evaluation of biocidal active substances? To be continued…
