After France and the European Union, it is now Switzerland’s turn to announce the ban of E171. Carole Meylan, scientific collaborator at the Federal Office for Food Safety and Veterinary Affairs (OSAV), announced on Tuesday to the Swiss Radio Television (RTS)
that “OSAV plans to ban the use of this E171 as a food additive”. Some Swiss brands have already started to offer new recipes without E171.
